Vinyl Decal application instructiions
Step 1: Prepare the Surface
Use the included alcohol wipe to thoroughly clean the surface where you plan to apply the vinyl decal. Ensure the surface is free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and any other contaminants that may affect adhesion.
Step 2: Gather Your Tools
Check that you have all the tools you need for the application. These typically include the vinyl decal, application tape (this comes pre applied), and a squeegee or credit card for smoothing it down.
Step 3: Position the Decal
Place the vinyl decal on the surface without removing the backing. This allows you to position it accurately and make any necessary adjustments before committing to the spot!.
Step 4: Peel off the Backing
Carefully peel off the white backing paper. Take your time to avoid any stretching or distortion of the vinyl.
Step 5: Apply the Decal
Lower the exposed adhesive side of the decal onto the surface, starting from the top and working your way down. Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out the vinyl, working from the centre outward to remove any air bubbles.
Step 6: Remove the Application Tape
Gently peel the clear application tape off at a sharp angle in the opposite direction, ensuring that the vinyl remains adhered to the surface. If there are any stubborn areas, press them down with the squeegee or your fingers and try again.
Step 7: Press and Smooth
After removing the application tape, go over the entire decal with the squeegee or your fingers to ensure proper adhesion. Pay extra attention to the edges to prevent lifting!
Step 8: Allow to Cure
Allow the applied decal to cure for at least 24 hours before exposing it to extreme conditions such as rain, car washes, or direct sunlight. This ensures the adhesive bonds securely to the surface.
Step 9: Enjoy Your Decal!
Once the vinyl decal has fully cured, admire your handiwork and enjoy the new addition to your surface!
